A nice change in form has turned into a top 5 at the Lexus Championship at Otone Country Club. After playing some of my best golf in quite some time, I found myself 2 behind the lead with one round to play. Unfortunately, even though I played well, the leaders were too good and I finished in outright 5th position. The result will go a long way to helping me to a top 70 position and retaining playing rights for 2010. I am currently in 69th position and carrying some confidence into our big 3 season ending events. This week is the prestigious the Visa Taihaio Masters, an event that is one of my favorites and played on probably the best golf course on the Japanese Tour. The penultimate tournament is the famous Dunlop Phoenix. An event steeped in history and won by many of the great players, including Tiger Woods. This year, Vijay Singh will tee it up for the first time. Finally we will head to Kochi in Japans South for the Casio World Open. It is always a big tournament as final order of merit positions are settled. There are many fingernails chewed as the players fight to retain playing rights for next year!. Anyway, I will keep you posted on my progress, Good golfing,
Wayne. |
